VIDA PhD students Giancarlo Pereira and Yurong Liu recognized with the Deborah Rosenthal, MD Award.
VIDA PhD students Giancarlo Pereira and Yurong Liu recognized with the Deborah Rosenthal, MD Award, given to graduate students in Computer Science for outstanding performance on the PhD qualifying examination.
Giancarlo, advised by Profs. Claudio Silva and Daniele Panozzo, has been doing exciting work on 3D scanning, spanning both hardware and software.
Yurong is advised by Prof. Juliana Freire and has also worked with Profs. Christopher Musco and Chinmay Hegde. Her research lies in the intersection of large language models and data management, addressing challenges in dataset discovery and integration.
Yurong and Giancarlo join an impressive group of VIDA students who have earned this recognition in previous years: Nivan Ferreira, Fernando Chirigati, Neel Dei, Raphael Meyer, Peter Xenopoulos, Aecio Santos, and Benjamin Feuer.
