Venetia Pliatsika

Venetia is a Ph.D. student at NYU advised by Julia Stoyanovich. Venetia’s work aims to ensure that AI exhibits the anticipated behavior and has a positive societal impact. She is currently working on the explainability of black box ranking models.
Before joining NYU, Venetia worked in computational biology as a research software engineer at Jefferson University. She holds a Master’s degree in computer science from the University of Pennsylvania and completed her Bachelors at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Venetia is an avid reader and enjoys baking!
